weds night took kitt and jay up the club
weighed kitt he had lost weight
all the way home trying to work out why
so thought i would cut back on his training and up his food till he was back to what he weighed
gave him his dinner refused it so alarm bells started to ring
got up next day kitt refused his breakfast/lunch/dinner still drinking at this point
so wasn't to worried

OMG WHAT A SHOCK I GOT FRIDAY MORNING WHEN I WOKE UP
kitt had lost 1/2 his body weight over night rang vet of we went
his temp was 102 by this time he had stopped eating/drinking
and kept being sick so she gave him a injection tablet s for his temp and to try and stop him being sick brought him home(had to carry him into vets /van house as he was so weak
saterday morning dropped more weight over night spent day crying and syringing water into him vet gave another jab stayed up all night wth him
yesterday crawled to the water bowl put his head over the bowl but not drinking
still syringing water into him still not eating getting weaker by the day
this morning kitt still the same did a runner up the shop came home to find kitt stood having a drink thought please god let him keep it down
then he came and stood by me as i was cooking rice for him looked like he might what some so got the chicken out kitt bless him sat and held his paw out that started me of crying again gave a tiny bit to him which he took and ate then another bit but that was it no more but was over the moon that he had took that much
back to the vet poor women was crying gave another jab said keep doing what your doing said see you weds and gave me the vet bill
think we have turned the corner with kitt
going to be a long recovery but we will get there

if i had left it 1 more day before taking him to the vet don't think he would be here
today
my worry now is to get some weight on him as you can see every bone on him but it will take time as you can't rush the weight back on

vet rang me teatime to say shes had 3 cases of parvo on my estate
kitt had his jabs i asked her could kitt have his puppie jabs again to play safe and give me peace of mind shes agreed when his over this he will be able to have them again
its been hell these past few days but hope hes over the worse

Such a worrying time hon - got everything crossed for him. Kitt's lucky to have you Tina, a pup that ill wouldn't last long without someone to stay up syringing fluids in, and taking him off to the vets promptly.

charlie im the lucky one that kitt is a big pup
because had he been a 20lber i would have lost him for sure




on a brighter note
kitt had a bit more chicken turned his nose up at the boiled rice/sardines/tuna/boiled fish
normally loves them having to hand feed him but don't care how he takes it as long as he eats

so any ideas on getting him to eat would be a great help
kitt would like to say thanks you for all your texts/phone calls
really did help my mum & dad over these last few days

bit brighter today carrie
he's had some bits of chicken today been hand feeding him
lifting his head up more this afternoon
off to see the vet tomorrow keep your fingers crossed
will let you all no tomorrow how we get on

yessssssssss my baby had 1/2 a weetabix for breakfast
and a little bit of roast chicken for his lunch
vet pleased with his progress
still not out of the woods yet with him
but looking better outcome
so all your praying and fingers x helped

vet says to keep him on boiled chicken and rice for the next few days
guess what kitt don't like chicken and rice so that could be fun


back at vets next week for a check up

will give you a daily report on how hes doing

good to hear he starting to eat tina, is a good sign for sure.

hi all it's been a week now sinse kitt got ill
got up this morning and kitt stayed in his bed(always gets up with me)
thought oh no here we go again
put the kettle on for a cup of tea still no kitt
the other boys were up tucking into there breakfast still no sign of kitt went back up to see where he was the little bugger was stuggled up in bed quilt to the chin snoring his head of so left him there didn't get up till 10 oclock this morning
came down looked at me and went outside called him back in for his breakfast
which was a whole weetabix with warm milk didn't want it

little sod nicked my toast with jam on really enjoyed it by the look on his face
bless him i couldn't bring myself to tell him off just so happy he was eating

didn't want his lunch

least he is eating something tina, even if it is your breckfast . fingers crossed for him

well i think we are over the worse with kitt
still a bit hit and miss with his breakfast
but boy oh boy did he make up for it yesterday

hes looking a lot better much brighter in himself
