what do we all feed are dog diet wise what extras do you give them

feedwell turbo mixed with raw beef, and usually the scraps of the house into the mix. is the same the hole year through sometimes id give them a skinned and gutted rabbit.

sorry to be such a bore mate complete diets like the one you talked about mean what they say complete if u as beef and other thing it upsets the balence it should be one or the other i myself feed a raw diet of beef tripe chicken rabbit hare deer and all other things that the dogs catch i also feed tuna insun flower oil and mulit vitamin along with a lot of veg

yeah the completes tend to have different type of protein (meal) in them, compared to meat, in the winter my lurchers are usally on raw diet aswell, as i find it easier to dish it up.

am sure u have noticed the down side of beef at this time of year? the flies it attracts, even when in a fridge


do you let your dogs get abit over weight in the summer or keep them running fit all year round ?

i still keep them right in fit in the summer do a little late evening hunting but i keep my dogs that little bit heavy as i do alot of hunting in the winter the whippets can run mybe 50 runs in one night excerice like that is hard on any dog after about 30 runs the carbs will be near all burnt up and then they start burning fat if the dog has not got any it will feel the heat

yeah i let mine get abit heavy in the summer, especially since i dont like walking them when its to warm, i find thats a way of making them drop weight quickly. wouldnt run my dogs 50 times a night, but then rabbits are few and far between round me and were the rabbits are i wouldnt lamp to many obsticles i.e, rubble, clifes, a wood and loads of scrap metal.
