Pup has a ear infection going to westhought tomorrow get some thing for him just wondering if there was something i could buy from the chemist, all suggestions appreciated.

if it were me id give him some anti-biotics, tho you will need a prescription for those, dont think over the counter products would do the job if it an infection.

Got some otirel ear drops £5 00 from local dog track, good stuff started to clear all ready. totallurcher/bye.gif

this time of year is always problematic scratching is often caused by mites which can be picked up off long grass ect .my dogs have been trouble free of late but ,ive had trouble in the past. the mites cuase a thick black wax the problem is often referred to as ear canker and can if not treated drive the poor dog mad . im glad the drops are working . we should all keep some ear drops in our store cupboard for the event . it would be good practice to administer the drops on a regular basis throughout the summer months . ive found it is often dogs with larger ear flaps which suffer most i.e my spaniel and in the past my bedlingtons .in think it is because the the warmth the ear provides with larger ear flaps cuases a small haven for such mites .
