STORM CHASER- 06-02-2008
What's best to do with under weight lurcher? totallurcher/hmm.gif STORM is 1 year old bitch. Whippet cross bedington terrier. Do i feed her more and exersize her less! she has 4 walks/runs a day. Could this be down to her age. should i not worry? her frame is a lot more whippet. She looks good, but you can feel her bones. Happy healthy but skinny. She has one main meal in the evening , plus biscuits ang treats during the day. totallurcher/hmm.gif

Yes I agree.. if she is Healthy, happy and fit then thats just the way she is. I have a skinny girl too.. but I think mine are far skinnier than other peoples running dogs but I much prefer them on the slim side.

Storm looks GREAT btw !!!

I had a similar problem with one of mine, we shovelled food into him, wormed him, worried over his skinny appearance till we accepted the fact that this is his natural build. rolleyes.gif As long as he is racing about & eating up I don't worry about him.

yeah some dogs just have different natural shapes, my two lurcher for instance, bow if very chunky set where as flynn is a lot lighter in the frame, even tho they are fed the same.

much the same as people, weight is balanced, by food, exercise, motabilism, and health. im sure its the same with dogs. mite just be in her nature to be skinny like flynn
