Hi,
Just found this site, thanks to very helpful folk on another similar site. I live in Somerset and have 3 Australian Shepherd dogs. However, the dog I purchased to keep them in their place was........... a lurcher!!! His name is Sparky and he's a first cross whippet/Border collie - the result of an accidental mating. He's a sort of fawn brindle, excuse my terminology, but I do know my aussie colours!!!!! He takes his job very seriously, and although castrated at 5 months, he has the mental strength to keep my entire stud dog in his place!!! Sparky enjoys agilty most of all, but I am considering racing him if I ever get the time!!!!
Wow, I haven't been a junior for many a year, thanks!!!!!

Hiya. If you fancy doing some racing there is a peddie racing club near Taunton where you could start him off. They do have some lurchers that go there but they are little whippet size. Well that ones that I've seen are. But you could teach him the basics there.
