left this morning shortly after 9, arrived at the farm at 11am, after leaving the car we had a welcome site, half a dosen rabbits running for the hedge but after a look ther was no holes in the hedge
so carried on to another hedge, this warren ran about 30 yrd of hedge with me taking one side while tommy and ryan took the otherside. after 10 minutes we had the first bolt with a rabbit getting caught by the head with the net over it. few minutes later anohter clean bolt with the ferret attached, few minutes passed and caught one ferret, with no collar ??? so we looked with the locator and found a mark 2 feet down, and using my spade (not my grafter) it took almost 5 minutes to dig this hole with tree roots in the way. this produced a rabbit and ferret collar. that was 4 rabbits
moved up the hedge, to the next warren and this warren produced a futher 4 rabbits with ryan and tommy both pulling rabbits from holes. was a good day out we had sofar so called it time for lunch with
after lunch it was decided to give some long netting a try, so run the nets out round a hedge, and ferrets enterd for this warren i decided to do some paul daniels tricks. and this warren had 4 rabbits squeeling all of which were retrieved from the holes by hand as they wouldnt bolt.
called it a day with 12 rabbits. heres a pic of the rabbits from today pic was taken as the day went on, didnt get a final bag pic as camera battery was flat
