when entering pups to the larger game. did you see any affects on there standard of retreiving live to hand when it came to the rabbits, and at what age did you move your pup onto the big stuff.

with not having the ban, at home i find that when i enter pups to bigger game they tend to become hard mouth'd, my pup Flynn had his first go at something bigger than rabbits at 10 months, when out on a walk something got up in front of us and he had it nailed before i could get to him.

but yeah i noticed a difference in him after he had that.

All depends on the dog itself, but firstly you shouldn't enter a pup on bigger game. 18 months minimum (pre-ban of course) and then it was always a done thing to run the dog with something that had alot of experience on bigger quarry. If the pup was entered to early it would ruin its chances of becoming an accomplished working dog.
